On 1 August 2019, REHDA Melaka Chairman and Committee Members paid a courtesy call on the Yang Dipertua of Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council, Tn Mohd Rafee Bin Ibrahim at MPHTJ Office. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation and understanding between MPHTJ and REHDA Melaka.
REHDA Melaka Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua and Committee Members paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Valuation & Property Services Department of Melaka, Tn Mohd Zaki Bin Mohd Zain at his office on 31 July 2019. The objective of the visit was to foster closer rapport and connection.
On 26 June 2019, REHDA Melaka in collaboration with Melaka Green Technology Corporation (MGTC) and I Controls Solution (M) Sdn Bhd organized a Green Briefing Session on Melaka Green Seal and I Controls Solution (Rainwater Harvesting System). The objective of the green briefing session was to promote green technology and tools towards sustainable development.
REHDA Melaka 2nd HOC MAPEX 2019 was held on 26 to 28 April 2019 at Mahkota Parade Melaka. The main objective of this 2nd HOC MAPEX was to continue encouraging home ownership during the Home Ownership Campaign period. The exhibition was officially launched by YB Datuk Tey Kok Kiew, The State EXCO of Housing, Local Government, Environment and Green Technology on Friday, 26 April 2019. Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, 17 developers, Maybank participated in this HOC exhibition. 1,519 units of various type of property with estimated value of RM636 million were showcased during the exhibition.
REHDA Melaka organized a meeting with Pengarah Pejabat Tanah Dan Galian Melaka (PTG) Datuk Zaidi Bin Johari on 16 April 2019, 11.30 am as to deliberate on the new policy approved in Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pecah Sempadan Tanah Dan Belah Bahagi Negeri Melaka (JKBB) Bil.3/2019.
Melaka Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019 was held successfully from 19 to 24 March 2019 at Aeon Mall, Bandaraya Melaka. It was participated by Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, PR1MA, SPNB, Maybank and 26 private developers. More than 3,023 units of property worth over RM1.25 billion were offered during the 6 days exhibition.

On 1 August 2019, REHDA Melaka Chairman and Committee Members paid a courtesy call on the Yang Dipertua of Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council, Tn Mohd Rafee Bin Ibrahim at MPHTJ Office. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation and understanding between MPHTJ and REHDA Melaka.
The visit was led by Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua joined by Datuk Seri Gwee Yew Kiat, Mr Ngoh Chun How, Ms Judith Ho, Mr Yow Song Yoong, Mr Francis Sia, Mr Chee Siang Oy, Mr Tay Sin Wah, Mr Yeow Hoh Thai and Mr Henry Chong.
Amongst the issues deliberated were: -
i. Developer being stop by residents to use existing Taman’s road for earthwork.
ii. One-Stop-Centre (OSC)’s system.
iii. Deposit for Common Property Defects Account.
iv. Management & maintenance of low medium cost strata project & etc.
The courtesy visit adjourned with both partied agreed to continue to work closely to enhance the cooperation to improve development in Hang Tuah Jaya for a better future.

On 26 June 2019, REHDA Melaka in collaboration with Melaka Green Technology Corporation (MGTC) and I Controls Solution (M) Sdn Bhd organized a Green Briefing Session on Melaka Green Seal and I Controls Solution (Rainwater Harvesting System). The objective of the green briefing session was to promote green technology and tools towards sustainable development.
The briefing session was steered by the Operation Department Manager of MGTC Mr Mohd Hafizam Bin Mustaffa and the Director of I Controls Solution Mr Tony Tai. Mr Mohd Hafizam gave a general introduction about MGTC and Melaka Green Seal while Mr Tony Tai shared with all participants on the iRain rainwater harvesting system in terms of local authorities’ requirement, features and actual project experience. Attended by 25 participants of REHDA Melaka members and Hon Advisors.

REHDA Melaka organized a meeting with Pengarah Pejabat Tanah Dan Galian Melaka (PTG) Datuk Zaidi Bin Johari on 16 April 2019, 11.30 am as to deliberate on the new policy approved in Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pecah Sempadan Tanah Dan Belah Bahagi Negeri Melaka (JKBB) Bil.3/2019.
Dato’ Sri Ngoh commented that new policy will affect the housing development industry in Melaka in the long run, especially in term of: -
• The revised development composition.
• More rigid release mechanism and release requirements.
• Increased release levy.
Both parties deliberated in length with regards to the new JKBB policy.
PTG Melaka welcomed feedbacks with strong reasons from REHDA Melaka with regards to the new JKBB policy for the State Government’s consideration and for a win-win situation for all.

Melaka Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 2019 was held successfully from 19 to 24 March 2019 at Aeon Mall, Bandaraya Melaka. It was participated by Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, PR1MA, SPNB, Maybank and 26 private developers. More than 3,023 units of property worth over RM1.25 billion were offered during the 6 days exhibition.
The opening ceremony was graced by YB Damian Yeo Shen Li, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Melaka Kawasan Duyong, representing Chief Minister of Melaka Tn Adly Bin Zahari. During the HOC period, Malaysian homebuyers will be exempted from stamp duties on instruments of transfer for properties priced up to RM1 million and for loan agreements of up to RM2.5 million for the purchase of residential units registered under the HOC. The current stamp duty on instrument of transfer for the first RM100,000 is 1%, 2% for properties priced RM100,001 to RM500,000 and 3% for properties priced RM500,001 and above. For properties priced at RM1,000,001 to RM2.5 million, the stamp duty will remain at 3% until the end of June after which it will be raised to 4%.
During the press interview after the opening ceremony, REHDA Melaka Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua seeking the State Government’s consideration for the immediate release of 995 bumiputera lots completed with Certificate of Completion and Compliance as to ease the financial burden of REHDA Melaka members.
