On 13 January 2026, REHDA Melaka paid a courtesy visit to YBhg Tn Muhammad Zahiruddin bin Mohd Zahari, Yang DiPertua of Majlis Perbandaran Jasin (MPJ).

The delegation, led by the Branch Chairperson Datuk Ngoh Chun and including Ms Jojo Gwee, Mr Joe Cheong, and Mr Yow Song Yoong, engaged in discussions regarding development and community growth in Jasin.

Key issues discussed included:

• Challenges affecting project viability and sales, such as the minimum lot size calculation/definition in the Garis Panduan Perancangan Perumahan Negeri Melaka (GPP), slow sales movement, the impact of Sales and Service Tax (SST) on construction costs, and recent regulations on lorry overloading.
• Building plan submissions for elevated water tanks.
• The zero lot concept.
• Critical delays in rubbish collection services following the issuance of the Vacant Possession (VP).
