REHDA Melaka paid a courtesy visit to Yang Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya (MPHTJ), Datuk Sapiah binti Haron, on 9 June 2026 as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen collaboration and enhance engagement between the property development industry and the local authority.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for constructive dialogue and meaningful exchange of views on various development-related matters affecting the housing and property sector in Melaka.

Key matters discussed during the session included:

• Clarification on MPHTJ’s Enhanced Green Initiative Requirements for Development Projects in Melaka;
• Party Wall Thickness Requirements;
• Cul-de-Sac Design Requirements;
• Drainage Plan Submission up to Final Discharge Point;
• Charges and penalties for extension of Development Approval after expiry; and
• Delay in rubbish collection services for new housing developments.

REHDA Melaka appreciates the openness and commitment demonstrated by MPHTJ in addressing industry concerns and facilitating better understanding between stakeholders.
