On 10 October 2024, REHDA Melaka organized the much-anticipated Green Tour, which focused on promoting sustainable development practices within the real estate sector.  The event was attended by 35 delegates led by Branch Chairperson Datuk Ngoh Chun How, all eager to explore innovative green solutions and practices in housing and property development.

The REHDA Melaka Green Tour is part of a broader initiative aimed at raising awareness about sustainable building practices and encouraging developers to integrate eco-friendly designs into their projects.  This year’s tour showcased two exemplary projects in Melaka that embody these principles: i-Asrama@Harmoni Ayer Keroh, a Centralized Labour Quarters (CLQ) project with Certificate of Accommodation (Perakuan Penginapan) from the Labour Department (JTK) and REHDA GreenRE Provisional Gold Certification, known for its apartment style worker quarters with sustainable development features and facial recognition technology, and Parkland Avenue By The Sea, an integrated & community-focused development nestled in the Melaka City Center which is seeking for GreenRE’s certification.

Throughout the day, briefings, discussions and site visits were lively, with delegates and sharing insights and experiences related to sustainable and best practices in their respective projects.  The event fostered an environment of collaboration, where participants could learn, share and brainstorm solutions to common challenges in green development.
